Aakriti's POV

"Alright, I'll tell you", mom chuckled

*flashback*

"So how's everything going on?", Rekha asked Sonali.

Being good friends from college.

"Arey, Nikunj said he had to introduce someone so we were waiting for her", Sonali said.

"Ohho, koi aane Wali hai, kyu Nikunj?", Rekha nudged him.

Nikunj shied away saying he had to look over something with dhruv, while the ladies just chuckled.

"Aur Sonali, aakriti kaisi hai? Heard that she came back a few months back".

"Ha, she back almost 8 months back", Sonali replied.

"What?, she came back almost a year ago and you didn't tell me?", Rekha asked being disappointed at her friend".

"Rekha, it's nothing like that, I just didn't get time kyuki Aakriti was too busy handling her business to get it on top, aur she used to forget about herself, I really couldn't tell you", Sonali tried to explain.

"Hmm, theek hai par atleast now you can naa", Rekha whined.

Sonali chuckled and said, "give me one minute, I'll be back".

"Rekha", Sonali called out.

"Aakriti, she's Rekha my friend", introduced Sonali.

"Best friends hai hum", Rekha whisper-yelled.

"Ha haa, bestfriend", Sonali just shook her head.

After a short talk , Aakriti excused herself.

"Accha, listen, are you guys finding a man for Aakriti?", rekha curiously asked.

"We just asked her a few times, she says she wants some time, and she's just 23 so we didn't talk further, but why do you ask? So suddenly?", Sonali replied.

"Ohh, I know a guy, he's at the perfect age to marry, is successful, and well settled in his career, he is from a good family too and in my opinion both him and Aakriti are perfect for each other upon that you all know him", Rekha said.

"We know him?, who's that?"

"I was talking about Devansh", Rekha nervously said, but before Sonali could reply she continued.

"Devansh may look rude, emotionless and workaholic but at heart he's just like us, trust me when he's at home, he is the complete opposite, it's like he wears a mask when he's at office, no one talks about the office works when at home, please think about it".

Sanjay who was passing by heard this and came forward after thinking.

And before Sonali could say something he spoke.

"I think we should ask Aakriti first and we'll tell you, if we could take this forward".

Sonali looked at him and smiled agreeing.

"Alright then, I'll wait for your call", Rekha smiled and walked away.

Sonali looked at Shikhar and asked "He is right for our daughter, right?"

Shikhar adored his wife and said smiling, "I wouldn't have agreed if he was not good".

Later when the celebrations were over and the Singhania's reached, Devansh went back to his room real quick as he had a call to make.

Rekha got the opportunity and started speaking.

"I wanted to talk to you all, can we speak now?"

"Can we not talk tomorrow Rekha?", Sanjay asked his wife.

Ignoring her husband's question, Rekha walked over and held both Indrajeet and Gayatri's hand and made them sit and asked Alok and Pooja to sit with them.

"Arey, what happened Rekha?", Alok asked.

"First, all of you tell me, how was Aakriti?", she asked.

Hearing Aakriti's name, Gayatri had a smile.

"She is calm, beautiful, thoughtful, responsible, strong independent woman, respects elders", Gayatri smiled again while saying.

"I agree, and she has the energy to lift anyone's mood", Alok said.

"She takes care of everyone, and I heard that if someone says or does bad to her family she gives it back, right back to them,in their way", Pooja said while chuckling.

Rekha smiled and said,

"Don't you all think, Devansh and Aakriti are perfect for each other?", and this time she was not at all nervous.

"You just said the thing that was on my mind from the moment I saw Aakriti", Pooja said and hugged her.

"Haa, Devansh keliye woh hi theek hai", Alok said.

[She is the right person for Devansh].

"Rekha, I'm proud of you", Gayatri said with a smile.

"Rekha, you've found another gem for this family beta, first Sameeksha now Aakriti, I can't thank you enough for this", Indrajeet said while patting her head.

"But the main thing, did you talk to Aakriti and her family?", Gayatri asked with a frown.

"Yes maa, I've talked about this with Shikharji and Sonali, they'll talk to Aakriti", Rekha replied.

"Alright, once they agree to meet we can ask them to talk to each other and decide".Pooja said

"What if we set up a date for them?", Pooja asked.

All of the members agreed and once both of them said yes, the elders set up a date for them.

*flashback ends*

"Kaafi sahi planning tha mom", I said.

[Indeed a good plan]

"Devansh kaisa tha?", dad asked

[How was Devansh]

"He was nice", I said with a small smile.

"Now tell me, how was the date?", Nikunj bhaiya asked.

Before i could reply I got a message.

"Ohooo~", Nihaal bhai nudged my elbow while smirking.

Before he could say anything else, I ran towards my room.

"Hi Aakriti", was the message.

Hey, Devansh.

You reached home safely?

I did Mr.Singhania, what about you?

I did, Miss.Rawat, I hope you enjoyed the evening.

It was nice meeting you Devansh, I really had a good time.

How about we have some good time again?

Huh?. I asked

I mean, may I have the honor to take you on an actual date Miss.Rawat?

You may, Mr.Singhania.

How about tomorrow?, he asked.

5 p.m I'll be off. I texted.

I'll be at your service madam.

I smiled and texted good night, and kept my phone aside.

Davnsh Singhania, I mumbled, and slept.
