Author's POV.

Aakriti and Devansh sat down with an awkwardly silent atmosphere, Aakriti decided to break it by asking

"So... Why don't we introduce ourselves, it'll be easier for us to start with".

Devansh was quite amazed as she was asking for his introduction.

I mean who doesn't know 'The Devansh Singhania'

Shrugging away his thoughts, he started to speak,

"Myself Devansh Singhania, I'm the CEO of Singhania industries. We've several branches and factories all accros-

"Woah woahhh....... calm down, we're here for a date not for some business meeting" Aakriti said with a small chuckle.

Devansh scrunched his nose due to embarrassment, and said "you introduce yourself first, I shall continue later".

Aakriti giggled while nodding and started speaking.

"Okayy, I'm Aakriti Rawat, I'm an interior designer. I have my own label, The Rawat's Space."

and

"As for my hobbies, I love reading historical fantasy books, I love to play video games and to try n cook new cuisines".

"Now your turn", Aakriti finished.

"As I said, I'm Devansh Singhania,  CEO of Singhania industries and uhhh I don't have any specific hobbies", Devansh said.

Aakriti just blinked her eyes not understanding what to say.

Meanwhile, the waiter came and asked for their order.

Aakriti ordered aglio-e-olio pasta and Devansh ordered himself a cheese grilled Sandwich, the waiter left.

Again the air was filled with awkward silence, this time too it was Aakriti who broke it but her words left Devansh blown- away.

"Are you okay with this marriage?, Are you being forced!?, If not are you willing to work on this marriage or do you already have someone?, if yes tell it to me now only-

Aakriti was just rambling, and Devansh cut her off by saying,

"Calm down woman. Which question of yours do you want me to answer first?", Devansh said with a small chuckle.

Aakriti closed her eyes in embarrassment and started rambling again.

"Sorry, don't mind, it's just, I don't-

"It's okay calm down, don't be, as for your questions No, I'm not being forced, I'm not seeing anyone, and yes I'm ready to work on our marriage".

Devansh pressed the word our.

It was pin drop silence for a whole minute.

"Our marriage", the only thing revolving in Aakriti's mind.

Soon their orders came, they started digging in.

"How about you?" Devansh asked while having his sandwich with his fingers crossed under the table.

"No, I'm not seeing anyone". Aakriti said and Devansh looked up from his plate.

Maintaining the eye contact Aakriti said.

"I'm more than willing to work on our marriage".

Butterflies in their tummy would be an understatement as they were having a whole zoo in their tummies.

Being flustered both looked away, shocked by their own boldness.

Done with their food, Devansh paid the bill after insisting Aakriti that he'll pay, being the 'Gentleman' he is

They came out of the restaurant and stood by her car.

"Reach home safe", Devansh said.

Aakriti smiled and said "Alright then, take care"

She was about to turn when Devansh said,

"Can.....,c-can I have your number!?" Devansh asked stuttering with a hint of nervousness.

"Sure". Aakriti smiled and gave her number.

"Text me when you reach" both said at the same time.

"But I don't have your number to text", Aakriti giggled and said.

Devansh rubbed his nape and said,

"I'll text you, yeah".

Aakriti smiled and got into her car.

They started driving to their respective places.

Both had a small smile dancing on their lips through out their drive to home.

Aakriti POV.

I reached home and literally barged in and saw that as if everyone were waiting for me.

Before I could ask them they bombarded me with their questions.

"How was the date?, Did it go well?, How was Devansh?, Did you like the date?, Do you wanna go on more?, Do you like him?-

"Ek minute, suniye sab" I said

"How did Devansh Singhania turned out to be my date??". I asked everyone.

Finally, our Devansh and Aakriti are done with their first date.
