Aakriti's POV.
All the guests went back home,
I got back to my bed, and all I could think was of him.

I wanted to stay there after the pooja, but my staff had messed up a file, so I had to go there.
When I came back I got busy with the guests.

I just know he is a member of The Singhania family so I'll just call him Mr.Singhania.

When I looked back during Aarti, his eyes were already on me, oh how I had a whole zoo running in my tummy, but I looked away.

His eyes, his deep black eyes, uniquely dark, steady gaze, his eyes were deep, like an ocean, in which I would drown happily.

His eyes held something, I couldn't read them but they were something like pure love.

"Oh my god what am I even thinking". I should probably go sleep.

Morning came by, everyone were in the dining hall having breakfast.

"Aakriti, you are 23 now, don't you think you should settle down by now?", mom said.

"Settle?, mom I am already a successful interior designer, what more settle?". I said.

"Bhabhi, means you should get married now", chachi ji said.

I chocked on the food.

"Mom, I am just 23, what's the rush?".

"Beta, at your age, I was already married and had Nikunj". Mom said.

I was about to say something but dad cut me off.

"We aren't telling you to get married right away, just go on dates and if you like any then we can proceed". Dad finished.

I thought for sometime and then said.

"Alright then, search for a good guy".I said.

"Oh beta, we have already set a date for you with him, tomorrow at 6:00 p.m, I'll message you the address", mom said.

Me and nihaal bhai looked at each other , I was taken back by this information.

"Mujhe bhejna ka pura plan kardiya hai kya", I muttered under my breath.

"What's his name, tho?", nihaal bhai asked.

"Nope, we won't tell, it's a blind date", mom said.

A blind date, for me. 
This is going somewhere else.

At the end I agreed and went upstairs back to my room.

"Uhh, I guess I gotta forget my new crush", I sulked and started scrolling through reels.

Devansh POV.
It's saturday so I'll be working from home, I got up and went to my gym.

Today, I had to do only, back squats, pull ups, and some bench press.

It was 9:00 a.m already. I got ready, had my breakfast and came back to my room to take a few files and went to my study room.

I had to check on a few emails and study about the latest deal I signed with Rawats.

I finally finished with all the emails and started studying the file.

There was a slight difference in a certain part, I tried working on it but I couldn't.

Having no option left, I had to call Nikunj.

"Hello", Nikunj said from the other side.

"Nikunj, I was going through the file, but there's this thing that is wrong", I said.

"Oh, you can email it to me, I'll see if there's any mistake".

"Alright th-
Wait I have a chance to meet Aakriti, so I immediately said

"No, no I mean you won't understand on email or on call, so how about we meet and discuss,"I asked.

"Uh okay, let's meet on Monday", Nikunj said.

"No, like how about we meet today, I can come to the Rawat Mansion if you are okay?" I asked hopefully.

"I'm sorry Dev, but I have to take aakriti on shopping today", he said.

"Oh", what should say?? "anything special?", I continued.

"Ah, that she is going on a date tomorrow", Nikunj said but I couldn't think anything else.

My mobile slipped from my hand, I cut the call and threw it somewhere in the room.

She is going on a date tomorrow, on a date with someone who is not me. A date with someone, who would make her smile and laugh.

The smile and laugh for which I wanted to be the reason.
I wanted to make her smile. The reason to be her smile.
I would've done anything to make her smile, but is it too late?

I wanted to be hers, only hers but what can I even do now?

Unknowingly a lone tear slipped from my eye.

No, I can't be like this.
Thinking this I went towards my happy pill, my arhaan.
