Devansh's POV.
The sun poured through the window. A new day had dawned, rising my hopes, two days, just two more days and I can see her.

Aakriti, I breathed out her name.
What's gotten into me, always thinking about her. Sighing I went to get ready for the day. It was already late ,no point of hitting the gym today.

Going down, I informed my mom that I'll be late tonight and drove off to my office.

Having reached my office building, I made my way towards my cabin,
employees were greeting me while I just ignored them.

It's not that I am arrogant or heartless, it's just that I should be strict inorder to have every work perfect, everything perfect, nothing should be out of place.

That's the reason I have to be like this.

"Vinay what's the schedule for today?"

"Sir you have 3 meetings today one at 11:00 a.m, 3:00 p.m and the third one at 5:45 p.m." Vinay informed.

"That's it?".
"Yes sir, there are only 3 meetings scheduled for today"

"Alright, just get a cup of black coffee for me".
"Yes sir" saying this Vinay left.

Entering the cabin, I sat on my recliner chair started going through the mails.

Vinay entered the cabin with my black coffee, while I saw him hesitating to say something.

"Speak", I said in a cold tone.

"Sir, The foreign partners wanted to prepone the meeting from tomorrow to today as there's another thing piled up for them, so I agreed and now the meeting is at 7:00 p.m today"

"Who's the boss dammit, how can you set up a meeting without my permission?" I banged my fist on the table.
"Sir, I really tried to convince them but they wanted the meeting today, and I couldn't cancel because we have a lot of profit in this contract".

"Alright"
"Thank you sir, I'm really sorry, I wouldn't repeat this agai--
Vinay couldn't complete as Devansh said "Leave" in his cold tone.
Vinay immediately left, mumbling a small sorry to his boss.

Devansh got up and stood near the floor window "It's gonna be a long day" he sighed.

Author's POV.
Aakriti was informed that a grand diwali party will be held at their home this time and only 2 days for the preparation.

Being an interior designer she was told to take a look at the decorations once, the day before diwali.

"Beta just take care everything is at place, before pooja and the party", Sonali told her daughter.

"Yes mom I'll look into it tomorrow", Aakriti told her mom.

"Kids these days, always postpone things" Neelima spoke.
This time Aakriti had enough so she spoke back

"Arey chachi, then why don't you tell your daughter Naina to do this?"
"She isn't home, she has gone for group studies" Neelima said defending her daughter.

"Oh is it, are you sure she is studying and not partying?" Aakriti told
Neelima froze on her feet.

"What party" Mohan asked when he saw the ladies discussing
"Nothing, I was just telling something, oh come on it's getting late let's go have dinner, everyone?". Neelima diverted the topic and went to the dining hall.

Aakriti and her mom Sonali just shared a glance and went to have the dinner.

"Dad, me and bhai have already invited the guests and as you said only the close one's and important clients", Nihaal said to his father.

"Good job there, kids" Shikhar appreciated them.

"Can I call some of my friends to the party?" Dhruv asked the elders.

"Ofcourse son, it's a party afterall", Neelima said.
"No neelima it's more like a business meetup and as of my friends they're our family friends so it's a no" Shikhar said.

"But- Neelima couldn't complete her words as Mohan also denied her.
She just huffed and stayed quiet.

"Also, Sonali and Neelima make sure Naina is home safely before 10:30" Shikhar said to which both the ladies agreed.

The dinner was done and everyone went back to their rooms.

"A lot of work tomorrow, I should get some good sleep", Aakriti mumbled and went into a deep slumber.
